Navigating challenges in Australasian higher education
Higher education across Australasia is undergoing significant transformation. Universities, institutes of technology and private providers face mounting pressures: evolving learner expectations, the acceleration of digital and AI-enabled technologies, constrained funding environments and intensifying domestic and international competition. Institutions also operate within increasingly complex regulatory systems in Australia and Aotearoa New Zealand, where expectations around quality, accountability and compliance continue to rise. At the same time, the sector must demonstrate its contribution to social and economic wellbeing and respond to key regional and global issues such as advancing equity, diversity and inclusion, climate resilience, Indigenous engagement and geopolitical uncertainty.

Co-creating this programme with Advance HE led to action learning, during the two days, which transformed conversations.
