Advance HE launches a year-long campaign to celebrate fellowship showing how it supports professional growth, institutional change and sector leadership across global higher education.
Running across the 2026–27 academic year, Fellowship: From Recognition to Transformation will showcase how Advance HE Fellowship informs teaching and learning practice and contributes to meaningful change in leadership and student outcomes.
Through stories from individuals and institutions, the campaign explores fellowship as more than just recognition. It will highlight the scale, inclusivity and community of Advance HE Fellowship, its role in supporting professional development and the influence fellows of all categories can have within institutions and across the sector.
“We are delighted to launch this campaign and celebrate the difference that Advance HE Fellowship makes to teaching, supporting learning and professional practice around the world.
Louise Lumsden, Head of Fellowship at Advance HE
“Its impact can be transformative and is brought to life through the experiences of Fellows. By sharing real-world examples from different institutions and regions, we aim to demonstrate the global reach and credibility of Advance HE Fellowship.
“We encourage colleagues across our global community to get involved and share their own Fellowship journeys throughout the year.”
Exploring fellowship in practice
The campaign begins in October with the launch of series two of the popular Fellowship Podcast. Six episodes will be released through to March, creating a regular opportunity to hear perspectives on fellowship and its contribution to teaching, learning and professional practice.
Alongside the podcast, the Elevate series is continued professional development for Advance HE fellows, led by fellows and connecting the fellowship community to share contemporary practice, exchange insights and respond to emerging challenges in higher education through the Professional Standards Framework (PSF) 2023.
Share your Fellowship story
