Invaluable resources for other institutions looking to implement similar successful initiatives in their own contexts.
Advance HE has published a collection of case studies showcasing innovative higher education projects from the winners of our 2024-25 Global Impact Grants.
The 14 case studies highlight successful initiatives from member institutions across Australia, Kazakhstan, Vietnam, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Iraq, United Arab Emirates and Ireland demonstrating meaningful impact on students and staff in higher education.
The projects address three key challenges identified by Advance HE members: Protecting Inclusion in Times of Change, Securing Student Outcomes, and Designing Education for the Future.
Case studies include Deakin University’s relationship-rich approach to student success through “Coffee Conversations”, AI-powered pathways in medical education from Dubai Medical University and Monash University’s innovative use of Indigenous AI avatars to advance cultural competence in healthcare education.
Other notable projects showcase RMIT Vietnam’s authentic learning through competitive assessment in software engineering, data literacy approaches from Dublin City University and initiatives supporting neurodiverse learners from the University of Kurdistan Hewlêr.
These case studies represent the innovative practice in higher education from our global membership community. The projects demonstrate how creative, problem-solving approaches can deliver real impact for students and staff.
