Nearly 200 educational leaders and innovators gather to ‘reflect on teaching practice, celebrate fellowship journeys, and explore strategies to strengthen the culture of educational excellence in the region’.

Nearly 200 educational leaders and innovators from across UAE, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Oman, and Egypt gathered this month at Amity University Dubai for the Advance HE Gulf Fellowship Network Forum 2025, marking a significant milestone in the region’s pursuit of teaching excellence in higher education.

The forum brought together educators and academic leaders from across the Gulf to reflect on teaching practice, celebrate fellowship journeys, and explore strategies to strengthen the culture of educational excellence in the region. This event marked the first regional gathering of the Gulf Fellowship Network.

Dr Mahinour Ezzat, founder of the Advance HE Gulf Fellowship Network

“This forum was never meant to be just another academic event—it was born out of a vision to celebrate, recognize, and support educators across the Gulf. Seeing it come to life for the first time, with over 170 passionate participants from five countries, was a powerful reminder that teaching excellence deserves a visible, united platform. This is just the beginning,” said Dr Mahinour Ezzat, founder of the Advance HE Gulf Fellowship Network, during her opening address. “With nearly 450 members now part of our network, we’re creating a powerful community of practice that transcends institutional boundaries.”
