Our AI transparency and disclosure approach

Advance HE is exploring the responsible use of artificial intelligence (AI) technologies, including Microsoft Copilot Enterprise, to support colleague productivity, improve efficiency and enhance the quality of our services. 
 
We are undertaking controlled pilot activities to understand where AI tools can assist colleagues in areas such as drafting content, summarising information, analysing data and improving internal processes. Any use of AI is subject to our organisational requirements relating to data protection, information security, confidentiality, copyright and quality assurance. 
 
AI-supported outputs are subject to human oversight. Colleagues remain responsible for reviewing, validating and approving work before it is shared externally or relied upon for decision-making. 
 
Where AI has materially contributed to content, services or outputs intended for members, clients, partners or other external audiences, Advance HE is committed to being appropriately transparent about its use, in accordance with applicable legal, regulatory and ethical requirements.
