About
Abtin E. Esfandabadi is a Ph.D. student in the field of Film Studies and a STA at Merton College. Before entering the cinema field, he completed his bachelor’s degree in Archaeology. He then graduated with a master’s degree in Cinema from Tehran University of Art. Subsequently, he decided to further his studies at Queen Mary University of London as a Ph.D. student under the supervision of Dr. Mario Slugan and Dr. Yasmin Fedda. The thesis he is currently working on focuses on Iranian cinema and its relation to ancient Iranian literature. Simultaneously, he worked as an LSA and later as a STA in the Inclusive Learning Department at Merton College, one of the branches of South Thames College Group.
