Assoc. Prof Dr Lydia Foong has 33 years of extensive experience in various educational settings. She is currently the Director, Curriculum & Educational Development at the Centre for Future Learning, Taylor’s University in Malaysia. She was formerly the founding Dean of the Faculty of Education, Languages and Psychology, and Director of Confucius Institute at SEGi University in Malaysia. She has served as the secretary of the Professional Development Board, ECCE Council Malaysia, and an Executive Committee member of the National Association of Early Childhood Education Malaysia.
She was on a panel for various early childcare and education programme development projects, curriculum standards development, and various initiatives by the Malaysian government, including the Government Transformation Programme under the Prime Minister’s department, MOE and World Bank. She actively involves herself in consultancy projects, research and publications, and paper presentations at local and international conferences.
