David Denieffe

David Denieffe is the Vice-President for Student Experience at South East Technological University, Ireland. He has been a leading academic for over 25 years, building on his previous military career as an officer with the Irish Defence Forces. An engineer by profession, he obtained his Bachelor’s degree in Electronic Engineering from National University of Ireland, Galway before going on to complete his Master’s degree in Telecommunications Engineering from Dublin City University. Prior to taking up his current role, he served as Head of Faculty of Engineering and Vice-President for Academic Affairs in Institute of Technology Carlow. He is a recognised leader in the area of Quality Assurance of Further and Higher Education having chaired over 100 national and international programme, professional and departmental review processes. He is a passionate believer in the power of education and believes strongly in the ongoing development of people to deliver for our learners.
