His career has been varied and David has held leadership positions at University College of Osteopathy, New Model Institute for Technology and Engineering (NMITE), Bristol University, Imperial College London and previously at Cardiff University as a Professor of Practice. He was Deputy Chief Scientific Advisor for the Welsh Government and held roles in the private sector, Medical Research Council and NHS. He has a PhD in neuropharmacology and undertook research on brain injury as a Fulbright Scholar.
