Dr. Niamh Plunkett, EdD, PFHEA is Head of Teaching & Learning at Atlantic Technological University (ATU), where she leads strategic initiatives in teaching excellence, staff development, and student academic support. She oversees Academic Professional Development, the UDL Centre of Excellence, and the Advance HE–ATU ENGAGE programme, promoting professional recognition and inclusive practice across the university.
Formerly Director of the Centre for Lifelong Learning at ATU St. Angela’s, Niamh has a background in Nursing and holds a Diploma in Management, a Master’s in Education (Leadership & Management), and a Doctorate in Education focused on professional development and managing change. She is passionate about advancing inclusive education and promoting academic excellence through innovation, collaboration, and capacity building in higher education.
