Murray is an investment banker with 40 years of experience in financial services and a wide range of senior governance roles, including in the education sector.
He served as Vice Chairman of the EMEA Mergers & Acquisitions group at JPMorgan, with a career focused on offering a wide range of corporate finance advice to clients across multiple countries and sectors, including some of the world’s largest international companies.
Not-for-profit board and chair experience has covered all aspects of strategy, leadership, and governance. His current non-executive roles include Chair of Trinity College London, Vice Chair of Greenwich University, and trusteeships at the Chickenshed Theatre Trust and other organisations. His previous positions were Vice Chair at AQA Education and a member of the Royal Institute of Architects board, which recently awarded him an Honorary RIBA Fellowship.
