Phoebe Simpson is a lecturer, physiotherapist, and soon-to-be Dr(PhD), completing her research on the facilitators and barriers to physiotherapists’ training in and delivering an individualised biopsychosocial approach for musculoskeletal pain. With expertise in physiotherapy education, she specialises in curriculum development, experiential learning, and the integration of cultural security into allied health training.
Phoebe coordinated interprofessional first-year and third-year physiotherapy units, co-led student wellbeing initiatives like The Comfort Corner, and contributed to simulation-based and work-integrated learning. Passionate about social justice and equity in healthcare education, Phoebe is dedicated to enhancing teaching and student support within physiotherapy, with a focus on student mattering and belonging. Phoebe co-designed and co-leads the Comfort Corner with Ben Milbourn and supports the integration of reflexivity within staff and peer-mentoring within the Comfort Corner.
