Framework for Leading in HE
The Framework for Leading in Higher Education is a new resource designed to support leaders at every level in navigating the increasingly complex challenges of modern higher education. This sector resource is intended to elevate leadership by recognising the roles and responsibilities of leaders, providing development opportunities, and ultimately fostering the satisfaction that comes with being an effective leader, even in the most challenging times.
Essential Frameworks for Enhancing Student Success
The updated series is made up of nine frameworks plus one overarching framework. The series offers a shared point of reference and a common language to explore, shape and evaluate policy, process and practice around the complex issues influencing student success. It provides a consistent methodology for leading change, curriculum design, student support and learning and teaching.
Governance Effectiveness Framework
The Advance HE Governance Effectiveness Framework and supporting toolkit were revised in 2020 to reflect key developments in higher education governance. The framework recognises that each governing body’s effectiveness review is unique, shaped by its context and aspirations. It outlines essential factors for assessing governance effectiveness and provides practical tools, including an e-survey, to support institutions in conducting their reviews.
The Higher Education Board Diversity and Inclusion Toolkit
Developed in partnership with Advance HE, Perrett Laver and the University of Gloucestershire, this Toolkit is designed to help member institutions to improve the diversity and inclusivity of their governing bodies, whether as a Secretary, Chair of Governors, Governance and Nominations Committee member, or anyone interested in tackling under-representation and aiming for inclusion at the Board level in the higher education sector.
